Uganda Cranes and Kobs Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic picked out two moments of brilliance that won Uganda Kobs the game at Amahoro against Rwanda U-23.

The Kobs beat their Rwanda counterpart 2-1 in the CAF U-23 Championship qualifiers thanks to goals from Farouk Miya and Muzamir Mutyaba while Dominique Savio Nshuti netted Rwanda’s consolation.

Micho who wasn’t impressed with his side’s performance said when asked where he thinks The Kobs won the game.

I need to tell you, moments of brilliance from Miya and then the impact player (Mutyaba) who came in and scored the goal.

The coach (Rwanda’s McKinstry) deployed Andrew Buteera in an unfamiliar position playing with the back behind our goal. Him and Yannick Mukunzi gave us a lot of trouble in the midfield but the most important thing is we scored the two goals that give us the advantage but at the same moment, not putting us in comfort zone as we have another game in seven days.

Miya scored from a free kick on the edge of the area after goalie Olivier Kwizera handled the ball out of the area while Mutyaba’s low shot after John Semazzi good work down the left beat the entire Rwanda defence.

The two sides meet again in the return match on Saturday at Nakivubo stadium with a draw or even a 1-0 loss enough for Uganda to set up date with Egypt.
