Uganda Kobs Vs Rwanda U-23 @ Nakivubo Stadium – 4.00pm

(Uganda leads 2-1 from the first leg)

Rwanda U-23 will be without Coach Jonathan McKinstry when the side pays a courtesy visit to Uganda for the return leg of the CAF U-23 Championship qualifiers.

McKinstry is reported to have left Kigali on Saturday in the aftermath of side’s 1-2 loss to Uganda at Amahoro in the first leg according to The Times of Rwanda to attend to something related to his UEFA Pro License.

Assistant Coach Vincent Mashami will now be in charge of the side in Kampala where they need to beat Uganda by at least two goals to progress.

McKinstry is however confident Mashami can do the job given that he is well aware of what is at stake.

“I have full confidence in Vincent Mashami to oversee the team because he understands what we want to achieve going into the return leg,” said McKinstry.

Mashami will be joined by Gicumbi coach Emmanuel Ruremesha, while regular technical staff including goalkeeping coach Ibrahim Mugisha will continue with their roles.
