Uganda Cycling Association (UCF) Competitions Vice chairman, Robert Ochola has hinted on the plan for the association to have more competitions on the calendar.

Ochola was speaking at the official launch of the Association’s formal website, held at Diamond Guest House, Kibuli in Kampala on Thursday.

We need to have more organized competitions with great incentives planned for the cyclists.

Ochola, who was flanked by the Association General secretary, Fred Maiso told the media.

The cycling Association has been for a long time now been marred by factions in administration and this has tremendously acted to minimize on the number of events held, later on the attendance.

At the function on Thursday, a new website for the Association, designed by I.T specialist, Ronald Lule was launched.

I believe this website once well managed (with regular updates) will help the further growth of this association

Mathias Lukwago, the in-charge of marketing echoed.

 At the same event attended by the National Scout and Guide Fellowship of Uganda representative, Rachael Kampire, several national cyclists applauded the development.

This is a milestone. Our profiles will be running on the website and in a way we are being marketed beyond Uganda

David Matovu, a famous cyclist noted.

 Some of the upcoming events on the national calendar include the national cycling championship (7th July 2015), Kampala Cycling Tour (25th July 2015) and the Memorial Race (6th August 2015).
