Uganda Kobs Vs Rwanda U-23 @ Nakivubo stadium – 4.00pm

Uganda Kobs will miss the services of right back Joseph Nsubuga for a crucial return match against Rwanda’s U-23 in the CAF U-23 Championship qualifiers.

The Bright Stars’ defender is an integral part of Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic backline having featured in the last three competitive games for the Kobs including the first leg in Kigali where he played a great role in the 2-1 win over the hosts.

Nsubuga twisted his right joint in Wednesday’s evening training session and the scan on Thursday according www.fufa.co.ug showed he will be out for at least two weeks making him ineligible to play on Saturday.

“As an integral part of our defensive set up, it is a big blow to have him injured but knowing his character, i expect to see him back soon on the pitch. We wish him a quick recovery,”said Micho.

In his absence, Micho has options in versatile defenders Deus Bukenya, Shafiki Bakaki and Ibrahim Kiyemba (the latter two paired at centre back in Kigali).

Nsubuga joins striker Umar Kasumba who has also been ruled out of the game due to an arm injury.
Uganda Kobs lead the tie 2-1 from the first leg and are likely to edge Rwanda with Egypt lurking at the next stage.
