Faiz Alam and Monica Ntege, claimed the May Monthly Mug at the Uganda Golf Club on Saturday at the par 72 Kitante golf course in the one day tournament that attracted 110 golfers.
Alam played an astonising round of golf return with a nett score of 72 one a course that had the greens running fast. With golfers spread across the country the entry was good with others engrossed in the Mbarara Open on the same day.
Robinson Lutwama, was the men’s group B winner with 73 nett. Group C had Chinese K.R. Jo win with 68 nett while John Mwanyi with 67 was winner Group D.
Top lady golfer Monica Ntege was ladies group A winner with 78 nett while Ladies Group B was taken by Marion Nawoova 74 nett.
