Entebbe Airport League: Protea Hotel 0-0 Special Forces Command (SFC)

The ever interesting Entebbe Airport league resumed on Thursday that witnessed the Special Forces Command (SFC) team playing to a goal –less draw against Protea Hotel at Entebbe Airport play ground.

The Entebbe Airport Football League first timers, Protea Hotel recovered from last week’s 2-0 defeat to rivals Lake Victoria Hotel to atleast pick a point against the much fancied Special Forces Command (SFC).

Protea hotel goal keeper, Elvis Bwiire was the hero as he thwarted chance after chance from the footballing soldiers.

Any of SFC’s attackers, Akim Kawenje, Deo Ssenyondo, Kone Kisapamungu or Victor Ngobi would have atleast grabbed the lead but Bwiire ‘woke up on his right side of the bed’ as he saved each passing attack.

Perhaps as the game progressed, Protea changed the tide and SFC goal keeper Kenneth Tukahirwa came at their mercy with a wonder save minutes after the game half time recess.

Forward Daniel Ssembusi had a golden chance to bury off the game but he shot direct to the goal keeper. Meanwhile the league organizers have disqualified the ENHAS team for failure to have playing jerseys.

The league resumes Friday evening when Airport Taxi plays Air force at 5pm.
