2016 CHAN QUALIFIERS:

Tanzania Vs Uganda – Nakivubo Stadium

On 4th July 2015 (4:00 p.m)

Bright Stars goal keeper, Mathias Kigonya is among the three goal keepers summoned to the Uganda Cranes 27 man team supposed to start training on Friday at Vienna College school, Namugongo.

Kampala City Council goal keeper, Benjamin Ochan, who was part of the preparations before the first away match in Zanzibar has not been summoned this time round.

All the players who traveled for the first leg of the CHAN qualifier to Zanzibar are maintained with Richard Kasagga and Yunus Sentamu the only additions to the side (the two are part of the U-23 team).

Players who had been training with the team but never made the final 18 that traveled are also reinstated.

Micho, the head coach clarifies on the issue of Farouk Miya who will be exempted from the first training sessions of the team;

I said Miya and some other muslim players on the team will be exempted from some training sessions to avoid being burnt down. But, I did not say we have dropped them

Micho said.

Uganda hosts Tanzania in the CHAN return leg on the 4th July 2015 at Nakivubo stadium before traveling to Malawi for the friendly match on the 6th July 2015.
