Outgoing Eskom managing director Nokwanda Mngeni, was the overall ladies winner at the JCB Captain’s Bell Golf tournament on Saturday at  the Uganda Golf Club.

The South African lady golfer finished with a total score of 62 nett the best for the day among all the lady golfers in a tournament that is annually organised by the captain of the club. Arnold Bagugwagye was the men’s winner with 64 nett.

National junior golfer Hassan Kiyemba kept his good winning momentum on track by claiming the men’s Group A with 69 nett on count back. Duncan Kagwa was winner Group B with a score of 67 nett on count back.

Lindani Ndlovu, was group C winner with 65 nett. The captain of the ladies section at the Uganda Golf Club Katy Kabenge was ladies group A winner with 71 nett.

Annette Kiconco, was ladies group B winner with 71 nett.  Professional Herman Mutawe, maintained his good form, by winning the professionals catergory after beating Godfrey Mande in a play-off on holes, 13, 14 and 18 ending with 147 gross. 

The professionals were battling for a kitty of 6.5 million given to them by Ferdsult Engeering.
