With the level at which KIU Titans are playing this season, they are just about capable of beating any opponent in the league.

After their 70-58 win over Charging Rhinos on Wednesday, the Kansanga based side returns to the court tonight to take on two time champions Stanbic Warriors at Lugogo.

Their coach, Hamza Nyambogo says playing against a side that has struggled through the season makes it tough as they will be looking to change their fortunes and so will approach the like a big team.

“They (Warriors) haven’t been having the best if times, but our approach to the them will be of playing a big team”

“We have to play them hard, aggressive and smart on offense”

Warriors’ coach, Ronnie Mutebi admits KIU are the best side at the moment and it could be about damage control for his side that has already dropped seven games of thirteen played.

“They are the best team in the league but we want to limit what they can do. It’s more of give one and take one” he says.

“We can’t compete with KIU on the inside so we so we want to protect our hoop and let them have the perimeter”

Once the team’s key offensive offensive players, Ronnie Kasewu, Ivan Enabu and Steven Okias are struggling to give Warriors the offensive push.

“Change of Roles has limited them offensively” Mutebi said in defence of his guards cum forwards Ronnie Kasewu and Steven Okias

KIU won the first round 82-75.

Magic Stormers will play Gladiators in the women’s game.
