Gor Mahia FC Vs AFC Leopards – Nyayo stadium @ 3pm

One of Africa’s greatest football derbies that pit giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards has been brought forward.

Famously known as the ‘Mashemeji derby’, the game that had earlier been scheduled for Sunday August 23 has now been rescheduled for a day before; same time and venue as communicated on Gor Mahia’s official website.

The forthcoming Premier league derby date has been brought forward from Sunday 23rd August 2015 to Saturday 22nd August 2015. Match venue and kick-off time remain unchanged. All fans are asked to take note of the new fixture date and plan accordingly.

Gor Mahia assistant Secretary General Ronald Ngala added that the change of date is beyond their control but it’s the stadium management that asked for that.

“It’s due to circumstances beyond our control,” said Ngala.

It will be the second time the two are meeting in the league this season with the first ending a 1-1 draw.

Unlike in the first round, the clash will be more for pride this time round as K’Ogalo are a distant 55 points at the top of the log while Ingwe are 5th with 20 points less.

Ugandans Godfrey Walusimbi and Aucho Khalid are expected to feature for Gor Mahia whilst compatriots Martin Kizza and Ivan Anguyo ply their trade at the Den.
