There is still plenty of action with contrasting results as per the close of business on day two for either countries at the on-going 9th Edition of the East African military games in Kampala, Uganda.

Whereas the host nation, Uganda has been unstoppable in netball after walloping Rwanda 77-10, they have been struggling in football with two draws against Burundi (2-2) and Tanzania (1-1).

Rwanda’s APR drew goal-less with the defending champions, Ulinzi football club from Kenya in the morning fixture.

Uganda’ Simba suffered yet another defensive lapse, conceding the very last seconds of the game when Edward Songo’s long range effort cancelled Robert Omunuk’s 19th minute opener.

Uganda has also lost the handball duel 28-26 against Rwanda and the basketball game by two points 54-52 against Rwanda.

Tanzania humiliated Burundi 95-06 in netball before Tanzania revenged 31-28 against the same opposition in netball.

The games return on Tuesday with action in handball, netball, football and basketball fixtures before the cross country will take place at the Jinja chairman’s gardens on Wednesday.

In the last basketball games played Lugogo, Uganda lost to Rwanda by a basket 54-52 before Kenya rallied from behind to shock Tanzania 65-64 in a nail biting affair.
