The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) through the appeals committee has reinstated Lweza Football club back to the Uganda Premier league for the season 2015/16.

The development follows the Thursday meeting held by the FUFA appeals committee headed by Richard Kiboneka with veteran sports journalist, James Bakama and Chris Othieno as members.

 In a communiqué by the FUFA Chief Executive Officer, Edgar Watson to the Lweza CEO;

The FUFA secretariat is in receipt of a verdict by the FUFA Appeals committee in regard to Lweza F.C’s appeal against relegation. Lweza should be issued with a provisional license for the season 2015/16, be considered in the fixtures but fined Ug Shs 1M payable within 3 days from the date of admission

Lweza F.C C.E.O, Moses ‘Jaja Moze’ Ssenyonga was excited upon the decision by the appeals committee but again, insisted, they had done what had been required of them before the deadline.

People at FUFA remain our bosses but there are grey areas which still need to be checked in the competitions committee. You can not rule out politics or foul play but they remain the bosses and we have to obey.

In the new fixtures released, Lweza F.C opens up with an away trip to Jinja against BUL F.C at the Kakindu Stadium.

Part of Lweza F.C’s defence was the busy schedule of their director, Ahmed ‘Opa’ Damulira that made the work of the club departments redundant.

The fixture means Joseph Mutyaba, now head coach at Lweza F.C will be facing his former side, BUL where he resigned after guiding the team to 5th position, 24 points adrift of the winners, Vipers Sports Club.

 BUL F.C revealed the 28 players who are eligible for the 2015/16 season on Thursday at a glamorous function held at the Source of the Nile hotel in Jinja.
