Sports Club Villa president, Ben Misagga has offered $1,000 towards the organization of the Hakim Magumba testimonial football match.

Misagga made the offer on Friday, a day to the highly anticipated match that will bid farewell to the legendary midfielder, Magumba, who also featured for the national football team, the Cranes.

The SC Villa Jogoo president made a glowing remark towards the fast paced player;

Magumba was a great player the country will take long to replace. He was disciplined on and off the playing turf and for his diligent service for SC Villa and the Cranes, he deserves such a high profile testimonal match. I pledge $1000 to that cause.

Before the main match, SC Villa fans led by musicians Mathias Walukagga and 2015 Bet Award winner Eddy Kenzo will play in the curtain raiser as the club fans battle the team of sports journalists under the umbrella, Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA).

The former Uganda Cranes international midfielder Magumba will then play with friends in his team against the current SC Villa team.

Current FUFA Chief Executive Officer, Edgar Watson Ssuubi, James Odoch, David Obua, Jackson Mayanja, Hassan Mubiru, Wasswa Bbosa, Phillip Ssozi, Timothy Batabaire, Fred Tamale, Willy Jamil Kyambadde, Nestroy Kizito, George Ssemwogerere and the like have all confirmed.

About Hakim Magumba:

Magumba remains one of the best midfielders to grace the football scene for mazy runs on and off the ball. For his pace, he was baptized ‘Boda Boda’

He played with Iganga Town Council, Sports Club Villa, Atraco in Rwanda before featuring for Kira Young at the dawn of his career.

He made a come back to the his ‘home’ at Villa Park and won the Uganda Cup with the Jogoos after SC Villa beat Kampala City Council 3-0 in the re-play of the 2014/15 Uganda Cup.

He is currently an Airtel Rising Stars football ambassador and plans to start a football academy with the proceeds realized from the project.
