Four Ugandan professional golfers made the cut at the KCB PRO-AM tour final at the par 71 Nyali Golf Club in Nyali, Mombasa this morning as they sought to stamp their authority on Kenya’s professional golf circuit.

Deo Akope shot a 2 over par 73 to extend his lead by two strokes over home boy Greg Snow who shot 3 under par 68 gross to lie second on the leaderboard going into round three of tomorrow’s action.

Last year’s winner of the Vetlab’s Brian Njoroge shot 3 over par 74 to finish third after today’s round of action on a dry and windy course. Dennis Anguyo tied for 11th with 5 over par 76 gross while Phillip Kasozi shot 3 over par 74 gross with Vicent Byamukama make the cut with 1 over par 72 gross.

A total of 21 golfers made the cut out of the 66 professional golfer and amateurs with Herman Mutawe missing out the cut at with a total gross score of 154 gross after returning with 78 and 76 over 36 holes.
