Kenyan Greg Snow disposed Deo Akope, firing a blistering round of 3 under par 68 to inch closer to claiming the KCB Pro-Am tour final at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa this morning. 

Snow who was lying 9th overall on Day 1 and two strokes off the early leader  Akope on day 2 however the Kenyan produced impressive round of 3 under par 68 yesterday to inch closer to the coveted Grand Finale honours with a 7 stroke advantage over Akope at penultimate stage.

Snow had his campaign effectively sewn up when Akope wrapped up his day 3 campaign with a disappointing round of 6 over par 77 gross.

The new leader now leads the pack with a score of 1 under par 212 gross.

“It’s such a good feeling, I started off badly on Day 1 with five over but I’m happy that I have improved considerably as the tournament progressed. Apart from bad pin position on the first two days all seems to be well.”

Uganda’s other players Phillip Kasozi, shot a round of 7 over par 78 gross and is lying tied for 15th with 229 while Dennis Anguyo and Vicent Byamukama are 18th and tied for 19 with 9 over 80  gross and 8 over par 79 gross with 231 and 232 respectively.

Long hitting Dismas Indiza who has had a bad outing in the coast tour is lying third on 8 over par 220 gross.

Brian Njoroge has dropped to fourth place on 12 over par 221.
