Tuesday September 22, 2015 SC Villa Vs Bul. FC – Nakivubo stadium, @ 4.30pm
Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium will be the place to be on Tuesday afternoon when resurgent Bul. FC visit SC Villa in a league encounter.
Following a false start to the season that saw them lose two games in a row, Bul. FC have now collected four out of the six available points in the previous two.
Alex Isabirye’s charges held champions Vipers SC 0-0 before thumping Lweza 4-1 on Friday last week. “The confidence is getting back and hopefully, we continue playing like we did against Lweza,” said Isabirye.
“We are not yet where we want to be but the belief is evident in the boys,” he added.
For SC Villa, a search for a third consecutive victory will be on card. Like Bul. FC, SC Villa’s last game was also against Lweza; albeit away from home which they won 1-0 courtesy of Godfrey Lwesibawa penalty.
Earlier, the Jogoos had beaten SC Victoria University 2-1 at Namboole.
Players meeting former bosses; It will be a game for reuniting as Robert Achema faces his immediate former bosses and so do Derrick Walulya and Augustine Nsumba who joined the Jinja side after being released by SC Villa.
Key Players: The hosts will put their hopes in Martin Kizza, Karim Ndugwa and Robert Achema while the visitors will hope Mike Ndera, Milton Kaliisa and John Walakaita to replicate the form exhibited against Lweza last week.
League Positions: SC Villa are currently 7th with as many points whilst Bul. FC are eleventh with four points.
Last season’s league fixtures between the two sides ended in stalemates. Goalless in Kakindu and 2-2 in Kampala but the Jogoos beat Bul. FC home and away in the semi-finals of the Uganda Cup. Augustine Nsumba; now skipper at Bul. FC was among the goals for SC Villa.
