News coming from Ethiopia indicates that Uganda Cranes has been drawn against nemesis Kenya in the forthcoming CECAFA senior Challenge.

The record league winners are in group B of the oldest tournament on the continent alongside Burundi and Djibouti according to the draw conducted on Monday 9 November 2015 in Addis Ababa.

Group A has hosts Ethiopia, guest team Zambia, Tanzania as well as minnows Somalia while group C has Sudan, Rwanda, South Sudan and Zanzibar.

Though fixtures were not released, the tournament is set to be played between November 21 and December 6 this year.

Kenya are the defending champions having won it in 2013 in Nairobi after beating Sudan in the finals at Nyayo.

The tournament wasn’t last year after Ethiopia opted out of hosting.

Uganda Cranes are the record holders with 13 trophies.
