The long awaited verdict from the Kampala Region Football Association board concerning the fielding of ineligible player by Kamwokya FC was finally passed on December 9.
The incident happened on October 25 at Kira Road Police play ground where Kamwokya FC played host to Future Stars and won the game 3-0.
The hosts allegedly used an ineligible player in Abdallah Mzaazi who appeared on the referee’s book but didn’t have a playing license.
Future Stars acted quickly by petitioning the Kamwokya based team and have so come out with the last laugh.
The disciplinary committee decided that Kamwokya FC loses the match by forfeit to their opponents in accordance to FUFA Competitions Rules ART [19] 20 which states that;
A club that fields an ineligible player in a FUFA competition match shall lose the match by forfeit to the opposing team’ However, all aggrieved parties have a right to appeal as per chapter VII clause [1] within 30 days.
Kamwokya FC currently lies 4th with 16 points from 10 games in the Kampala Regional League, Scorpion Group.
Last week, a Kawomkya F.C official, Francisco Bwambaale was banned for three matches for uttering vulgar words during and after matches.
