The 42nd Edition of the Uganda Cup kicks-off this Wednesday December 16 with the preliminary fixtures in the Kampala Region.
A total of 10 games will be played across Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Kyengera FC plays host to the recently selected Corporate XI at Kira Road Police play ground.
The second fixture will see Vincent Kafero’s cahrges Ntinda United take on New Vision at Kyambogo Primary School play ground.
The winners in the preliminaries will proceed to the first round which will be played on Sunday 20th December.
The quarter finals, Semis and the finals will be played on Tuesday 22 December, Sunday December 27 and Saturday January 2, 2016 respectively.
Participating teams will each have to contribute UGX 30,000 as an officiation fee before kickoff. The winner in this region will walk away with UGX 100,000 as prize money.
SC Villa are the defending champions of the competition but they along with the other Premier League and the Big League teams can only join the competition at the round of 64.
The nine time champions who won their maiden trophy in 1983 beat KCCA 3-0 in the last edition.
The Uganda Cup formerly Kankungulu was first held in 1971, Coffee FC coming out as winners.
