With just two months to the highly billed CAF Confederations Cup tie between Uganda’s SC Villa and Sudan’s Khartoum Watani, the former’s interim Coach Ibrahim Kirya isn’t bothered at the moment.

The Jogoos play the first leg away on the weekend of February 12-14 before hosting the return leg a fortnight later.

“It’s still a long time,” stated Kirya when asked what to expect. “The fixture is two months away and the concentration is currently on the ongoing league,” he added.

The outspoken coach who guided the team to the Uganda Cup however hinted at reinforcing the squad before the game against Kwesi Appiah coached side.

“We are looking at buying some players in the window. I promise, we’ll be a different side altogether after the January window.”

Ever since they won the trophy in May, SC Villa appears to be on a downward spiral as they lie eighth on the 16 team log with just four wins in eleven league outings.

At this juncture last time, they were in the top two.
