SC Villa vs. JMC Hippos, 4:30pm

SC Villa will be seeking to return to winning ways when they take on 6th placed JMC Hippos at Nakivubo Stadium.

The record league winners have faltered in recent weeks drawing in two successive league games against Soana and Simba. Villa’s last win came against Maroons at Wankulukuku.

The Jogos as they are famously known missed an opportunity to climb to the top four and also narrow the gap between them and table leaders KCCA last week when Striker Umar Kasumba failed to convert a late penalty against Simba.

Coach Ibrahim Kirya is however confident his team will get back to winning ways soon. “We understand JMC has one of the hardest defense to break in the league but we shall try to break them and score. We have to get back to winning ways, which is why we have to score”

Goalkeeper Odong and midfielder Karim Nduggwa who picked up knocks in their last encounter are doubtful for this tie but the latter will be assessed later today.

Fresh from a derby victory – one of its kind, JMC will be aiming for maximum points on Teusday. The new boys in the league just like their opponents don’t score a lot of goals but have their unrivaled defense marshaled by Musa Walakira to bank on.

James Odoch’s side has conceded just 5 goals, the least in the league. The electric forward Abdul Rahman Rajab who came on as a substitute against local rivals Bul FC is expected to get back to the starting lineup to test the solidity of the host’s defense.

SC villa lie 8th with 16 points coming into this game while their opponents JMC are placed 6th, 2 places above Kirya’s side with 17 points.

Ali Sabila will be the referee in charge of this encounter assisted by Ronald Katenya and Gilbert Ngyendo. The 4th official and match commissioner of the day will be David Nsubuga and Harunah Mawanda respectively.
