Maxime Van Pee bestowed his season victory to his parents saying they have been the motivating factor enroute the 2015 championship success.

Van Pee sealed the title following victory in the ultimate round of motocross at the Garuga Race Track on Sunday.

The 22-year-old was dominant through the season in which he won six of the eight championship rounds.

“I can not thank my family enough for they have stood by me throughout the season and always supportive,” said Van Pee.  “My father was the one who introduced me to this sport and he has never let me down in anyway along with my mother and I believe they contributed much to my success,” he added.

He furthered explained his other strengths of the season.

“I always kept my focus on the race with enough preparations although sometimes I got carried away and did slight mistakes that almost cost me a championship.”

Van Pee says the title has foresighted his 2016 contention.

“The title gives me a lot of confidence for next year since I will be competing for three titles especially the African Motocross championship that will be in Kenya,” he said.
