In a bid to bolster their squad, ten time league champions KCCA are looking at signing five new players in the forthcoming January window.

One of the five is current league leading scorer Ceaser Okhuti who plies his trade with Express FC as revealed by Ssimbwa.

“We are done with the acquisition of Okhuti but we are targeting four more,” revealed Ssimbwa. “I won’t mention other names until everything is sorted but just know we are making five new acquisitions,” he added.

The current log leaders with 27 points have already lost attacking midfielder Michael Birungi to Sudan’s Khartoum while Tanzanian import Shaban Kondo is believed to have gone AWOL.

“He went to his home but is yet to return and we are yet to receive any official communication,” said Ssimbwa.

Meanwhile, the club is bolstered by the return of midfielder Paul Mucureezi who has been on an Education leave and they are set to register striker Derrick Nsibambi who they omitted from the squad for the first round of the season due to injury.

In the same bracket, the club is set to release some players for under performance.

It should be noted that at the start of the campaign, KCCA let go of over eleven players signing more than a dozen new.
