Vipers Vs Lweza – Buikwe @ 4.30pm
Reigning champions Vipers are bolstered by the return of inspirational midfielder Farouk Miya for the tie against Lweza at Buikwe on Tuesday.
The midfielder missed the previous two games in which Vipers have won just once and drawn the other as the technical team gave him days off following a hectic CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup campaign.
In his absence, the club has netted just once (against Maroons) and his return is a welcome boost to Coach Edward Golola.
“He has now recovered from the fatigue and his return will definitely have a positive impact on the team,” Golola told the club’s website.
“However we won’t put him under any pressure to deliver immediately, it’s a process but we are happy he is back,” he added.
Vipers are three points adrift of log leaders KCCA and maximum points against a side they beat home and away last season may see them leapfrog the Kasasiro in case they lose to SC Villa.
The corresponding fixture last campaign ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts with Miya scoring both goals.
He also scored the winner in the first leg thus he boosts of three goals in two against Lweza who sits eleventh with 15 points.
Either side drew their previous fixture goalless.
