2015/16 Uganda Premier League: Tuesday, 29th December 2015
- Bul F.C Vs Bright Stars F.C – Kakindu Stadium, Jinja
Bul Football Club faces a stern test with a home fixture against Bright Stars F.C at Kakindu stadium in Jinja on Tuesday, 29th December 2015.
The fixture marks the last game for the two sides of the first round.
Alex Isabirye’s BUL F.C will be without five of their key players.
Goalkeeper Franco Oringa, who had incidentally fallen off the pecking order losing the first team slot to Emmanuel Kalyowa is out of contention having been suspended by the coach after a training ground nasty brawl.
The other four who will miss through injury are forwards Mike Ndera and Johnson Wakalaita, right back Umar Mukobe and center half Mike Kayondo.
In Ndera and Wakalaita’s absence, the goal poaching mantle will rely on Simon Okwi and Milton Kalisa.
The visitors (Bright Stars F.C) are still riding high in the wake of their 2-0 victory against Sports Club Victoria University.
In the workaholic trait of dread-locked midfielder Jimmy Lule Kibirige, Anthony Bongole’s return to goal scoring and left footed winger Baker Lukooya’s expertise at the flanks, the Stars, who are coached by Fred Kajoba remain the team to beat in the fixture.
Add to the solid backline of Joseph Nsubuga, Abubaker Tabula, skipper Benard Muwanga and goalie Mathias Kigonya, the battle in Jinja will be a raw deal.
BUL F.C is currently 6th with 21 points picked from 14 matches as Bright Stars lies 10th with 18 points.
