Uganda Cranes have safely landed in Kigali, Rwanda for the 2016 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) finals.

According to FUFA Media Officer Ahmed Hussein, the team which travelled aboard Rwanda Air is scheduled to move directly to their residence in Rubavu where they will play all their group games.

“We have safely landed in Kigali and any time from now, we are setting off for Rubavu,” Hussein told Kawowo Sports.

The CECAFA Kings will reside at Belvedere Hotel in Rubavu and kick off their campaign against West Africans Mali on Tuesday.

Rwanda win opener

Elsewhere, hosts Rwanda started the campaign on a winning note as Emery Bayisenge loan goal saw them beat Cote d’Ivoire.
