Kenyan premier league club, Gor Mahia F.C started preparations for the upcoming domestic season and the CAF champions league on a winning note.

The historic club edged Ethiopian side, St. George to win the invitational St. George Cup in Addis Abbaba.

The Uganda Cranes stars featuring for the side, Godfrey Walusimbi, Aucho Khalid did not play in the match.

New signing, Jacob Keli scored the opener in the 44th minute as the Kenyans took the lead by the break.

Brian Umony, a Ugandan playing for St George snatched the equalizer at the game death to force a tense penalty shoot out. Gor Mahia later won the match 5-4 on penalties.

Another Ugandan, Isaac Isinde played for St George F.C but goalie Robert Odongkara missed the game.

Both clubs are preparing the 2016 CAF champions league.

In Uganda, champions, Vipers will play in the CAF Champions league as Sports Club Villa who clinched the Uganda Cup will represent the country in the CAF Confederations cup.
