The players’ exodus at sleeping giants Express FC seems likely to continue as they are poised to lose attacking midfielder Ibrahim Kayiwa to rivals KCCA FC.

The midfielder; who netted three goals for the Red Eagles in the first half of the season is currently training with the Kasasiro Boys a clear indication he has crossed the bridge from Wankulukuku to Lugogo.

Nevertheless, the ten time champions have yet to unveil him officially as the club’s norm has been in the January window.

In case the deal falls through, he will become the second player from the Red Eagles to join KCCA in the window after striker Samson Ceaser Okhuti.

Magembe and Kasadha also training with KCCA

In other news at Lugogo, Coach Mike Mutebi seems to have finally got his man in Emma Magembe with the player training with KCCA FC.

The flamboyant soft spoken tactician has always been a great admirer of the ex-KJT/Rwenshama player.

At the same juncture, Mutebi seems to have finally re-united with Lawrence Kasadha; a player he signed while at SC Villa in the 2011/12 season.

Kasadha has been featuring in the Sportspesa Kenya Premier League with coastal club Bandari FC which he helped win the 2015 GoTV Shield Cup.

Eight new arrivals

As it appears at the moment, KCCA has now added eight new players to their squad ahead of the kickoff of the second round.

This is after promotion of youngsters Julius Poloto and Ronald Kikonyongo from the Junior side and the return of striker Herman Wasswa in addition to Okhuti, Magembe, Kasadha, Farouk Kawooya and Petit Wanok
