The different clubs continue to prepare for the start of the second phase of the national league with training sessions and build up matches.

The latest build ups involving the top flight clubs have been successful.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) F.C humiliated All Stars Select side 5-0 in a one sided encounter on Wednesday.

Derrick Nsibambi notched a brace before Paul Mucureezi, Herman Wasswa and Hakim Ssenkumba scored the other goals.

Elsewhere, Sports Club Villa Jogoo who have been the most active club in the window overcame Future Stars F.C 3-0 with Godfrey Lwesibawa getting a brace as Patrick Mbowa had the other.

Lweza football club overcame Rwenzori group FUFA Big league club, Kireka United 2-0 with new recruit, Mustapha Nsereko (from KB Lions) and Fred Kalanzi on target for the Kajjansi based side.

On Liberation day, SC Villa defeated Jinja side, Sadolin Paints at the Nakivubo War Memorial stadium to be crowned champions.

Normal time had ended one all before post match penalties were called to determine the winner.

The Jogoos won the day 3-1- thanks to successful kicks from Mike Sserumaga, Patrick Mbowa and Mugabi.

Goalkeeper Nicolas Ssebwato saved two penalties.

In the other SC Villa Jogoo build up, Mike Sserumaga combined with Abdul Karim Kasule to condemn Kiwanga F.C to a 2-1 loss.

Hussein Lubwama scored Kiwanga’s consolation.

A number of other clubs have also lined up several build up games.

Kenya Premier Club, Tusker F.C will travel to the country to play Vipers Sports Club and Bright Stars F.C in two different fixtures.

Sudan Sudanese club, F.C Atlabara has also confirmed build ups with Ugandan clubs in mid February.
