CHAN 2016 Semifinal:
Wednesday, 3rd February 2016
- DR Congo vs. Guinea, Amahoro Stadium (4 p.m, East African Time)
Few coaches world-wide would reveal their respective game approach prior to a big encounter in the shape of a Championship of African Nations’ (CHAN) magnitude.
But, for Guinea head coach, Mohammed Kanfory Bangoura, he does not fear to reveal his tactics.
Addressing the media during the mandatory pre-match press conference at Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, Bangoura boldly said;
Being our first time at the CHAN championships, we respect all the teams, DR Congo inclusive. We hope to offer a defensive wall and rely more on individual brilliance of my players. I have prepared my players mentally and ready for the physical battle.
He is delighted that he welcomes back the suspended players, who missed the do-or-die quarter final match against Zambia where the Western Africans won 5-4 in the penalty shootout.
I have a full strength side. All the players who were suspended against Zambia are now back. We shall use the wings with a tactical approach depending on match situation.
The West Africans missed the services of AS Kaloum forward Alseny Camara and Satelitte F.C player, Nouhan Conde for accumulated cards picked in the group stages.
Guinea will take on Democratic Republic of Congo in the first semi final at Amahoro National Stadium on Wednesday.
