Mali Vs Cote d’Ivoire – Stade de Kigali, Nyamirambo 4pm Local Time (5pm EAT)
Coming into this tournament, Cote d’Ivoire had twice failed to go past the group stages but as it stands, they are one game away from a historical final clash.
That game is against West African rivals who they will be meeting for the 33rd meeting between the two giants of African football.
To reach the stage, Cote d’Ivoire swept aside another giant in Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions who they beat 3-0 but after extra time following a barren draw after 90 minutes while Mali came from a goal down to eliminate pre-tournament favourites Tunisia.
The Elephants will be vying to become the first nation to hold both AFCON and CHAN crowns.
DR Congo; winners of the inaugural edition in 2009 have already confirmed their slot in the finals scheduled for Sunday 7 at Amahoro stadium, Kigali.
