Uganda Cranes striker, Brian Umony needs everybody’s prayers.

The skilled forward is in severe pain after suffering a broken leg on Sunday during St George’s fixture against Abramach F.C in the Ethiopian premier league.

According to defender, Isaac Isinde a club-mate in Ethiopia alongside goalkeeper Robert Odongkara, also compatriot, Umony collided with the goal keeper as they battled for a ball.

He was rushed to Bobbo hospital in severe pain. He needs prayers

The news of Umony’s injury is a big set back to the preparations of the national team as far as the upcoming AFCON 2017 qualifiers and 2018 World cup qualification campaign is concerned.

He is believed to have suffered a compound fracture on the right leg which takes close to six months to recover.

Umony, a former Naguru Boys, Super Sport, Portland Timbers and KCCA F.C striker scored one of the goals in Uganda Cranes’ 2-0 home victory over Botswana in the last home game in the current AFCON 2017 qualification campaign.

In March 2016, Uganda faces a crucial double header against Burkina Faso in what will turn out to be the turning point of the campaign.
