79th AIPS Congress:
7th – 12th February 2016

Ahead of the 79th International Sports Press Association (AIPS) congress set for Doha in Qatar, Uganda is now assured of effective representation.
Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) is represented by three individuals.
The Association president, Sabiti Muwanga, the vice president Ritah Aliguma and the general secretary, Patrick Kanyomozi left to mid-east on Sunday, 7th February 2016 aboard Ethiopian Airlines on flight ET 335.
The airlines company offered three return tickets to the trio worth $ 1950 (at least Ug.shs 6,825,000).
Ethiopian Airlines Area manager in Uganda, Abebe Angessa had over over the tickets to the three members on Friday in Kampala.
A jovial Aliguma, the first female vice president in the history of 46 year old institution intimated her gratitude to Kawowo Sports;
We traveled well and we are all safe ready to represent the country at the congress.
We are very excited about this offer by Ethiopian Airlines.
This is the first of the long term partnership of the company.”
USPA is the umbrella institution that brings together several sports journalists in Uganda working with the different media house in the print and electronic world.
Deliberations at the 79th AIPS congress are expected to further yoke and direct the USPA work tasks at hand.
The Congress was officially opened on the 7th February and will run till 13th February 2016.
