Former Jogo Young and URA FC goalkeeper, Moses Oloya who quit as SCVU CEO and goalkeeping coach has joined another Uganda Premier League outfit The Saints FC.

Oloya has been hired on a one year deal as the club seeks to redeem itself from the relegation battle its currently facing.

The former City Lads custodian joins Moses Basena his former boss at Jogo Young as the club’s assistant cum goalkeeping coach.

Speaking to Kawowo Sports , Oloya who kick started his journey at The Saints earlier this morning says he’s delighted to finally re-unite with his fatherly figure Basena.

“Basena is like a father to me” he said “It’s a privilege for me to be here, working with him. He won trophies with Villa so hopefully we’ll achieve the same here. It’s obviously a new challenge for me but we have good players. We just need to train and work hard to achieve our goal” he continued .

The 35 year old who seemed excited about his new task spared sometime to talk about his former employers SCVU.

“As a person who likes football and adventure, I learnt a lot from SCVU. They believed in me and gave me a chance to showcase my leadership skills. I want to thank them for granting me that opportunity and wish them well”

Oloya started his coaching career at Maji FC in 2007 before joining KCCA in 2010 . He spent 3 years at the former league champions and later joined SCVU in 2014 .

He joins a team currently fighting relegation. The Saints are placed 15th on the table .
