Following a successful 2015 season, Kenya National Rally championship (KNRC) has secured Kshs 45millions sponsorship boost from Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).

The sponsorship package was announced on Wednesday during the 2016 KNRC season launch at the Ngong race course.

The sponsorship will cover a full season.

“As the drivers we are grateful, without the sponsorship entry fees would be much higher as organisers need funds to put up good events,” said Kigo Kariethi, the current Vice president of the Kenya rally drivers’ association.
Meanwhile Liquid Telecom has also announced its partnership with KNRC.

The telecommunication company will offer timing systems from Tag heuer to be used throughout the 2016 KNRC series.

The 2016 KNRC season kicks off on February 27-28th in Kajiado.
