The annual Federation of Uganda Basketball Association(s) AGM flopped on Saturday after the organizers failed to raise quorum.
The FUBA constitution requires a minimum of 35 club representatives before the Annual General Meeting can start but only 23 club representatives showed up for the assembly that was meant to take place at the Uganda Olympic Committee offices in Lugogo.
The federation has consequently set 6th March as the new date for the AGM.
“We couldn’t raise quorum so we have no choice but to postpone the AGM,” Nasser Sserunjoji, the FUBA Vice president in charge of administration revealed to Kawowo Sports.
Meanwhile the annual Awards Gala is set to be held this weekend at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. The winners of the various leagues will be crowned while individual accolades will also be given out.
City Oilers and UCU Lady Canons won the top tier division titles in the men and ladies’ categories respectively while UPDF Tomahawks and JKL Lady Dolphins lifted the second division titles.
JKL Dolphins (men) won the Development League title.
