Uganda Premier League

Friday, February 26:

Bul F.C vs. JMC Hippos – Kakindu Stadium, 4:30 p.m

Ahead of the highly billed Uganda Premier League clash between two clubs (Bul and Jinja Municipal Council) that share the same playing facility, Kakindu Stadium, JMC coach, James Odoch asserts his team is not under any sort of pressure.

The former Uganda Cranes international said on Wednesday morning after the club’s training session at Kakindu stadium.

When we started the second round, we picked a point (against Sports Club Victoria University). They (BUL F.C) lost (3-1 to The Saints F.C). Therefore, even if they are the presumed home side (since they host the game), we are all level and they are the team on pressure

On Wednesday during the recovery training, Odoch’s emphasis was on how to add to the reaction of his players during attack.

“Our bodies have been abit low since the league broke off. We are working on increased speed and reaction” he stressed.

In the first leg played on 11th December 2015 at Kakindu stadium, Patrick Onyango scored the lone strike that won the day for JMC Hippos.

This time round, Onyango is among the three players likely to miss the game because of injuries sustained.

The other two are Walter Bankene and Dan Sabena.

However, JMC’s new recruit, Ivan Lubaale is praying that his licence is finalized well in time ahead of the Friday clash.

Lubaale was released by BUL F.C over unclear circumstances in December 2015.

If fielded, he will join forwards Ajab Rajab, Mustapha Mugoya and team skipper Richard Wandyaka.

BUL F.C on the other hand is targeting instant recovery from the 3-1 loss to The Saints F.C at Namboole when the second round kicked off on Tuesday.

On Wednesday morning, BUL F.C trained at Jinja Secondary school playground.

Tricky winger Milton Kalisa will come face to face with former pay masters with an intent to paste a long lasting impression.

Yunus Sibira, formerly at Jinja S.S, Hashim Sempala and Umar Mukobe are the other BUL players aware of the significance of this derby game.
