BUL F.C Vs JMC Hippos – Kakindu Stadium, 4:00pm
Derby games have never been easy for the two competing clubs in contention.
It goes without saying, the better prepared team on the day in terms of urgency, efficiency, mind-set always takes the bragging rights.
When BUL F.C hosts league debutants, Jinja Municipal Council Hippos on Friday evening, the writing is on the wall. The match will be epic, thrilling and electrifying.
Both clubs host their home games at the same facility – Kakindu and unexpectedly the egos will be high with scores to settle on and off the field of play.
As the second round of the season kicked off, two days ago, JMC Hippos were held at home by a new look Sports Club Victoria University and on the contrast, BUL lost away 3-1 to The Saints F.C.
Definitely, either sides will be going for a killer to cement authority early and avoid regrets.
JMC Hippos won the first leg courtesy of Patrick Onyango’s glancing header in December last year.
However, Onyango will miss the clash due to injury and will be joined on the sidelines by a workaholic forward, Walter Bankene.
BUL F.C has no fresh injury concerns and will be out to plot revenge.
“We shall plan for the game approach.” BUL F.C head coach, Alex Isabirye says of the game.
His comrade at Municipal, James Odoch is bullish ahead of the tie. “We have no respect for them (Bul F.C)” he says.
Milton Kalisa and Yunus Sibira are the creative weapons for BUL as JMC will bank on the industrious play of skipper Richard Wandyaka and Mustapha Mugoya for inspiration.
JMC’s new recruit, Ivan Lubaale is praying that his licence is finalized well in time ahead of the Friday clash.
Lubaale was released by BUL F.C over unclear circumstances in last December.
If fielded, he will join forwards Ajab Rajab, Mustapha Mugoya and team skipper Richard Wandyaka.
BUL F.C on the other hand is targeting instant recovery from the 3-1 loss to The Saints F.C at Namboole when the second round kicked off on Tuesday.
Tricky winger Milton Kalisa will come face to face with former pay masters with an intent to paste a long lasting impression.
Sibira, formerly at Jinja S.S, Hashim Sempala and Derrick Walulya are the other BUL players aware of the significance of this derby game.
The 90 minutes will decide who owns the bragging rights of the city.
