2nd East African Corporate League:

In Kampala, Uganda – October 2016

Uganda will host the second edition of the East African Corporate league at the apex of 2016, Kawowo Sports reliably reports.

This was confirmed at the maiden press conference organized by the new executive of the corporate league at Hotel Africana in Kampala on Thursday.

Richard Okot, the new chairman of the Corporate League confirmed to the media;

Uganda will host the second edition of the East African Corporate league in October 2016. We have started the preliminary preparations of the tournament which will be played on a 11 aside format

The inaugural edition was hosted by Rwanda in 2015.

Okot told the media that the organizing team is working around the clock to ensure there is a sound well prepared team, efficient organization and a potential sponsor.

Football will be the only event to be played by the eight countries expected to take part; Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan and the hosts, Uganda.

The Corporate League involves football, netball, swimming, pool athletes and a tug of war.

A new game (Woodball) has been brought on board starting 2016.

This year’s Corporate League is expected to start on March 20, 2016 with 50 companies already confirmed to take part over nine months.

Hotel Africana Limited is the defending overall champion.
