Enyimba (Nigeria) Vs Vipers SC (UG) – Port Harcourt @ 6pm (EAT)
(Vipers lead 1-0)
Uganda’s representative in the CAF Champions League Vipers SC will seek to continue their African adventure by edging Nigeria’s Enyimba International.
The Ugandan champions visit the two time African champions on Sunday at Port Harcourt leading 1-0 on aggregate from the first leg thanks to Erisa Ssekisambu goal at Nakivubo a fortnight ago.
George ‘Best’ Nsimbe’s side travelled without injured William Wadri, Ibrahim Saddam Juma and Shafik Bakaki as well as first choice goalie Ismail Watenga.
They are however confident of stunning the Nigerians in front of their own fans to make it to the first round.
“We are confident of getting a result away,” said Nsimbe whose last travel to Nigeria saw his KCCA side then thrashed 4-0 by Bayelsa United.
Ssekisambu will still be the go to man while Mutyaba’s experience on the continent will also be vital.
Vipers SC need to avoid defeat to make it to the next stage but they can still advance if they lose by a goal margin as long as they score.
Vipers SC Probable XI:
James Alitho (GK), Nicholas Wadada (C), Dan Birikwalira, Yusuf Mukisa, Halid Lwaliwa, Siraje Sentamu, Deus Bukenya, Mike Mutyaba, John Semazzi, Erisa Sekisambu and Aggrey Madoi
