The bank has pledged to sponsor a Ugandan team of seven for a trip to Liverpool. This was announced at a news press conference held at Lake Hall, Sheraton Kampala Hotel held on Tuesday morning.
The Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Herman Kasekende told the journalists that the road to campaign is a very exciting one that brings the bank clients, partners and media together to enjoy the beautiful game of football;

Last year saw a lot of competition amongst the teams that participated and it is going to be more exciting this year, considering the grand prize of the visit to Anfield
Last year, Roofings qualified to represent Uganda at the East African regional finals in Nairobi but failed to qualify for the Anfield do.
Unlike last year, Uganda will this time round directly send a team to Anfield.
Head of Corporate Affairs, brand and Marketing, Helen Nangonzi Lutakome briefed the media about the procedure of the tournament.
“We expect 40 teams that will be registered on a first come, first serve basis. Each team will pay Ug. Shs 1.5M as registration fee with the gala of 5 aside expected to take place at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Namboole” she clarified.
The best corporate Ugandan team stands a chance to visit the home of Liverpool for three nights in May 2016.
Registration started on the 1st March 2016 and will climax at the end of the month (Thursday, 31st March 2016).
A policy of first come, first serve has been adapted to willing Corporate companies that will take part in the day long gala at Namboole.
Every willing company ought to pay Ug.x 1,500,000 to the Standard Chartered Account Number 0102012225401 under the Account name of Donations Account and present payment slips to the Corporate Affairs department
