Frank Nuttall was last seen on Gor Mahia’s bench on Sunday as the Kenya Premier League champions lost 1-0 to arch rivals AFC Leopards.
On Monday, Frank Nuttall left for Egypt to work as assistant coach under fellow Scot and new Zamalek coach Alex McLeish.
Nuttall has been a disgruntled man at Gor Mahia ever since he took over in 2014 from Bobby Williamson, despite guiding the club to greater heights, the club administration failed to meet their part of the bargain on time.
He led Gor Mahia to two league glories are other domestic title but still had to go months without pay.
Just like Nutall, McLeish ended up in Egypt because of former Cranes manager Bobby Williamson who used his connections to convince the former Aston Villa man that Egypt was a safe place.
Currently jobless, it’s not clear whether Bobby will return to Gor Mahia but former SC Villa tactician Antonio Flores is a front runner to land the job at Kenya’s most successful football club.
