Member Associations (M.A) Referees & Assessors’ Course:

The urge and desire to have improved standards of refereeing has further prompted Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) referees’ department to lobby for referees and assessors refresher course.

The mother body, FIFA has offered a refresher Member Association referees and assessors’ course that is set to commence on the 13th March 2016 at the FUFA Technical center in Njeru.

FUFA referees’ manager, Samuel Wesonga Egesa told the media on Wednesday, the course will accomodate 36 FIFA and national referees.

We expect 36 referees, FIFA, national and beach soccer referees inclusive. The referees who handle grass football are expected to report at Njeru on the 12th March 2016. Beach soccer referees will conduct their practicals at Lido beach in Entebbe on the 16th March 2016 

Three FIFA referees instructors; Carlos Henriques (Regional Development Officer from Gaborone), Felix Tangawarina (Technical Instructor from Zimbabwe) and Mark Mzengo (Fitness instructor from Malawi) shall be in charge of the course.

The referees are expected to undertake theory and practical drills.
