Having started the Motocross season with a bang, Maxime Van Pee has now set his sights on claiming the Enduro Championship too.
Van Pee was restricted to second place last season in a championship that went down to the wire with rival Arthur Blick Jr emerging winner.
The 22-year old now has fresh hopes for the title.
“This year’s title will be so tight but I will do what I can on Sunday keeping in mind that I have a regional event in a few weeks,” he said.
Over seven riders have confirmed participation in the Enduro championship opener this Sunday at the Fiduga Estate in Mpigi.
Riders are expected to run on a new track renovated by German champion Jurgen Kuppers ahead of the season opener.
Van Pee shared his thoughts about the new track.
“Enduro will be so exciting this Sunday, the track is new more technical, challenging and longer after Jurgen working on it,” he said.
“We also expect many riders than before this time round, so expect a tight race,” he added.
