Entebbe 2 (9) – 2 (8) Lweza

Even without the services of their head coach, Richard Makumbi, Entebbe Football Club ejected Lweza in the  Entebbe road derby to progress to the Uganda Cup semifinals.

Entebbe took a two goal lead in the opening half when towering striker Roch Somoka scored in the very first minute of the game played at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Prodigal son, Abram Ndugwa doubled the lead as Entebbe took a two goal cushion by the half time break.

Lweza rallied back in the second stanza scoring two penalties both converted by Hassan Kikoyo.

In the shoot outs, Entebbe won 9-8 to join KCCA and Vipers who won 1-0 and 2-0 against Bright Stars and Hope Doves respectively.

Meanwhile, FUFA Big League side, Onduparaka F.C dumped the defending champions of the Uganda Cup, Sports Club Villa out of the 2015/16 edition at the Round of 32 stage.

Christened the Caterpillars, Onduparaka won 4-3 after normal time had ended goalless in normal time.

In the shoot outs, Martin Kizza gave the Jogoos the lead before towering defender Rashid ‘Mertesacker’ Toha equalized.

Sserumaga scored and so did Onduparaka’s Gadiho Gaddaffi.

The Jogoos’ Left back, Yesseri Waibi hit the post on the third attempt as Yamandu Twakali put the West Nile based club the lead 3-2.

SC Villa skipper, Jonathan ‘Dante’ Mugabi scored on the fourth attempt but Ceasar Olega missed to make it 3 all.

Striker Umar Kasumba blasted his penalty wide of goal and the Caterpillars needed just one successful kick for glory.
