Vipers vs. Express – Buikwe, 4:00pm

If any of Vipers or Express is to win the league this season, the tie against each other at Buikwe on Tuesday will go a long way in having a say in this.

The two sides clash with the reigning champions third at the moment on 46 points following a barren draw with KCCA on Friday swapping positions with the Red Eagles who won 2-1 against Bright Stars to move to 48 points.

The visitors’ Coach Wasswa Bbosa, whose side won 2-0 in the reverse fixture has warned his opponents.

“At the start of the season, our target was to finish in top four but with the title in sight now, we are giving it ago,” he told Kawowo Sports.

On the game against Vipers, Wasswa said, “They are fantastic a side, reigning champions, playing at home and have quality players but we have a more experienced side to earn us all points.”

His counterpart, George ‘Best’ Nsimbe, three time league winner with KCCA has also warned the visitors not to expect an easy outing. “Express is a good team who want the title just like we do but they will not find the game easy at all. We are going to attack from start to finish,” Nsimbe told his club’s official website.

Players’ re-unions and connections Vipers’ Allan Kyambadde, John Semazzi, Mike Mutyaba, Shafik Bakaki and Erisa Ssekisambu face their former bosses while Vincent Kayizzi, Ismail Kazibwe and Ronald Sseku also have a chance to put to sword their former team.

With KCCA not in action, a win for Vipers will see them trim the gap at the summit to three while maximum points for the six time champions will see them go within two points of the Kasasiro.

Tony Odur (Express) and Erisa Ssekisambu (Vipers) are the key men to watch.
