Rotary Vijana Poa Golf Tourney:

Close to 100 golfers are expected to grace the Rotary Vijana Poa fundraising tournament at the par 72 lake side Entebbe Course this Saturday.
According to the Entebbe club professional, Dickson Lagoro, the tournament that will tee off as early 7 a.m is expected to raise funds towards the Rotary cause.
Official tee off time is 7 a.m sharp on Saturdaym 7th May 2016 with green fees fixed at Ug.shs 500,000 (teams) and Ug.shs 30,000 for individual golfers.
So far, about 100 golfers have already confirmed with more late entries expected.
The mode of play shall be stable ford (full handcap)
The Project is an initiative of Rotary District 9211 intended to encourage the youth in community to work sustain-ably.
This tournament will be coinciding with Rotary District Conference that climaxes at Imperial Resort Hotel in Entebbe.
The conference is embedded along the theme, ‘Equipping youth with employment and entrepreneurship skills’.
Golfers from Entebbe, Kampala, Mbarara, Jinja and Lugazi clubs are expected to be part of the one day tournament.
Lagoro predicts a great event for the golfers on the course bearing in mind the course is a fine sharp;
The early rains in Entebbe have put the course in fine sharp. The fairway is playable, greens in the best shape ever and i anticipate a great round of golf for the golfers.
Some of the golfers already registered are the home bred talents of Ali Jjuuko, Paul Nsereko, Marvin Kagoro, Patrick Mwaka and the long hitting Davis Kato among others.
