The one day golf tournament meant for the Rotary Vijana Poa project held at Entebbe Golf club over the weekend realized at least UG.shs 4M.

A total of 145 golfers took to the par 72 golf course in the name of charity whose major target is to raise awareness about creating jobs for the youths in local communities.

The Rotary District 9211 organized tournament was played under the theme; ‘Equipping Youth with Employability and Entrepreneurship skills’.

Kampala Casino team of Patrick Mugisha, Hannington Mpiima, Muhammed Jezan and Cyril Aluku won the day followed by Central Inn and Let Go Travel teams in the first and second respective slots.

Jezan’s scored 41 points, Mugisha had 33 and Mpiima 29 to get the better of the nearest challengers, Central Inn by 5 points.

Central Inn had Uganda national team player, Herman ‘Deco’ Mutebi ( 35 points), long hitting Aaron Mugomola (33pts), Mackie Nasser (30pts) and Michael Tumusiime (24pts).

Let’s Go Travel team finished third with the lanky Martin Ochaya scoring 35pts, tennager Andrew Byaruhanga (29pts), Davis Kato (29pts) and Samuel Kato (28pts).

Bernard Bakamutumaho was the best Rotarian with 34 points while Charles Kagombe (30pts) and Kasozi Kazenga (29pts) were first and second runners up respectively, in the

Ali Juuko, Collins Nuwagira, Andrew Kibaya returned the best individual non-rotarian scores with 41, 38 and 37 points respectively while Irene Nakalembe (35pts) and Gloria Mbaguta (33pts) were the top ladies.
