66th FIFA Congress:
12th and 13th May, 2016 (At Mexico City, Mexico)

At the 66th Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) Congress at Mexico City in Mexico, Uganda will be ably represented with a three man delegation.

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President Moses Magogo, his 1st Vice Justus Mugisha and the Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson left the country on Monday night for Mexico.

Magogo is expected to hold bilateral talks (outside the Congress) with the new FIFA President Gianni Infantino with a prime target of developing Uganda footbal to new scales.

‘Football Development programmes in Uganda will be the agenda in our meeting with FIFA President.  We shall make use of every opportunity to discuss about football development while in Mexico’ Magogo is quoted by the FUFA website.

Darius Mugoye is now the acting. FUFA President whilst financial guru, Decolas Kiiza is acting Chief Executive Officer.

At current state, Uganda is in good books with CAF and FIFA, with vivid fruits seen from the number of administrative courses the continental and global football bodies have forwarded to Uganda.

Most recently, Uganda organized a CAF club licensing seminar at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala and just last week, the FIFA Live your goals Girls football programme that took place in Mbale.
