Uganda Premier League side, Sports Club Villa Jogoo is reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Masaka Secondary School left back, Ronald ‘Jajja Walu’ Nkonge.

Nkonge was recently summoned to the Uganda Cranes U-20 team that played Rwanda home and away although he did not play because of passport issues.

The hard working diminutive left back, who is now in S.6 was a losing finalist at last year’s Copa Schools’ Championship to St Mary’s Kitende.

He went ahead to win the 2015 East African Schools’ Championship in Butare, Rwanda before guiding Masaka S.S to the Uganda Muslim Solidarity Games crown in 2016.

“I am ready to fight my way to the team once given the chance” Nkonge told Kawowo Sports.

SC Villa PRO, Ivan Kakembo could confirm the player but asserted they have strong links with Masaka S.S.

“We have about three players in Masaka S.S” Kakembo noted.

At present situation, SC Villa has three players in the left back role. Yesseri Waibi, Isaac Muleme and former Airtel Kitara player, Jimmy Adriko play in the department.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
